The edge of the screen is not clickable

#1 Post by snl »

Why is the screen border not active in Fluxbox?
For example, if I move the mouse cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen on the "log-out button" and click, nothing happens, while in Xfce, for example, the button is active even in the very corner of the screen. So in Fluxbox I can't blindly hover to the edge of the screen and click because the screen edges aren't active. Can it be changed somehow?

Dear @snl,

If I go to the button at the bottom right of the screen, I can right-click to set the output options. If I left-click, I get the output menu. I changed the output menu because I don't like having all black or grey icons.
I don't know where your problem comes from. Do you have an English installation?

Kind regards,
Wallon

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

tint2 natively maintains 2 pixels area at both ends of the panel where none of the panel entries (like buttons, launchers, executors, clock etc) can be displayed. So no, you cannot blindly click in the bottom screen corner.
If hovering a few pixels towards the exit-button is too tiresome, you could consider setting a keybind to activate the exit options application?

You could install a 'hotcorners' application, but I doubt there is any available in MXPI that is suitable for use in fluxbox. That can be done though with a script (it also works on MX-23 Fluxbox for single-monitor setups), check out forum post viewtopic.php?p=680928#p680928
