Is LXQT Bookworm proof?
Re: Is LXQT Bookworm proof?
Re: Is LXQT Bookworm proof?
Several videos on YouTube show that LXQT has become heavier than XFCE in Debian 12.
Re: Is LXQT Bookworm proof?
All components of LXDE that need GTK+ can be built with GTK+3. I build the full LXDE suite (except I don't use LXDM) on Gentoo with GTK+3.
Both GTK+2 and GTK+3 are included in the MX-23 beta 2 and LXDE installs cleanly and functions as expected from the MX Package Installer.
I would not choose LXQT over LXDE.

As for 'lighter' or 'heavier' is not something I am bothered about with this unit. 'Different' would be the word I would use to describe why I tried the LXQt desktop. Linux is about choice, right?
To me, it is not about what is better (than what) but what works for you.
