Ver 23 Iso installer failed do hash match check and show HDD partiion

#1 Post by almahdi »

This rather painful confusing problem in the ver. 21 and later one 23 Iso installers, both failed in hash match check

Moreover both the installer in its run progress failed to output HDD partitions layout as it just shows blank BG (here white)

Code: Select all

$ md5sum -b MX-23_x64.iso.md5  MX-23_x64.iso
facd26421014d4cb7d0e4966099711d8 *MX-23_x64.iso.md5
959ac7c2b933203d65de7764fc87fb6e *MX-23_x64.iso

$ sha256sum -b MX-23_x64.iso.sha256  MX-23_x64.iso
b8e7c71f132a06532e976a0cfb8ea852f1886ce7e7c8c64fa11b898e5bd576b6 *MX-23_x64.iso.sha256
854c0f5963d2a97f115b4dccc54e42f34302210a118b0c610f212fffd9fd7c2c *MX-23_x64.iso

though sign is valid

Code: Select all

$ gpg --no-default-keyring --keyring gnupg-ring:trustedkeys.gpg --keyserver hkps://keys.openpgp.org  --recv-keys 409C71B3BCFDED0A 70938C780679EE98 9B68A1E8B9B6375C 13C74A22892C32F1 A80582E000067FDD

So what'd be good idea to solve such >

That's not how you check md5sum.

Code: Select all

md5sum -b MX-23_x64.iso.md5  MX-23_x64.iso
That would just display the checksum of the .md5 file which is not relevant here. What you need to do is to do a "-c" or "--check", like this:

Code: Select all

md5sum -c MX-23_x64.iso.md5
It should pick up the .iso file by itself it's in the same directory.

So sorry, mistake again.

It does match now

Code: Select all

$ md5sum -c MX-23_x64.iso.md5
MX-23_x64.iso: OK

$ sha256sum -c MX-23_x64.iso.sha256
MX-23_x64.iso: OK

So what's on earth the confusig trouble, the installer when in the middle of progress failed to output HDD partitions layout, just showing blank white as its background

Please post your QSI ( Quick System Info )
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

Let me ask a clarifying question here. What, precisely, are you trying to accomplish? From your recent posts I'm not clear on exactly what it is you are trying to do. Be as specific as possible.

If installer fails, please attach /var/log/minstall.log

can't recall the last clicks just before exit, ie. could be repeated failed clicks e.g. refresh, next, etc
