hello JayM and everyone
On xfce we show "square" mugshot in WhiskerMenu.
Where mugshot in fluxbox?

About Me, which, just changed the org.bluesabre.Mugshot.desktop file icon path to the full path to /user/.face so that the icon for mugshot is the current home/heretto/.face selection instead of the mugshot icon. does that make sense? Uses the chosen icon for itself.
Now the fluxbox settings-manager-toolbox About Me button using the .desktop file shows the current mugshot .face;
and in rofi;
wherever About Me is used.

On rootmenu mugshot.

Started cleaning up my MX21 install, updating tint2 and conky configs, finetuning keybinds, removing debris + orphaned packages.
Probably last screenshot of my mx21-fluxbox desktop before archiving the snapshot; After that, moving on to install & customize MX23 fluxbox on bare metal.

That's a pretty one!

And here's my screenshot of MX-21 desktop, perhaps the last one before moving to MX-23.

One of the reasons I prefer PCManFM-qt over Thunar is the feature that allows creating desktop-shortcuts for files and folders (not symlinks but just .desktop files with shortcuts), and here are my shortcuts to the hidden folders, where the most important settings for configuration MXFB desktop are stored (.fluxbox, .config, tint2, rofi, .themes etc).

Take it you created a 'settings' folder in your home directory, bookmarked the folder in pcmanfm-qt - and populated it with the configuration .desktop files?
A great looking desktop - and a beautiful background... would you care to share the wallpaper please?

Yes. Precisely, I've created "Settings" folder in the unused by MXFB Desktop directory and the rest, as you have just said.

hello JayM and everyone
fluxbox toolbar
Taken from Style myDEFCON_5 its iconbar focused
in Style MX-comfort iconbar unfocused holds the highlight color.

image. Run is the focused window.
Learned from PackRat to reflect halo the window to the iconbar.
thanks asqwerth, Melber, tenner, PackRat

Copied a slightly modified version of kobaian's rofi-based powermenu over from my MX21 install to a current mxfb23-beta2 setup.
Of course I realize that 'exit-options' is the default powermenu application for mxfb23; but damn, this kde-styled semitransparent fullscreen display does look pretty...
