Re: MX-23 beta 2 feedback thread
Thanks to one and all for the input. I have been using antiX and MX since they were in their 14's going to 15.
So I will digest all of the above, in particular the information from @fehlix , check with my Debian Bookworm I also have, and see where I go from there.
Cheers

adrian came to my rescue. any descriptions that have 100% translation complete should now be uploaded in the latest mx-packageinstaller-pkglist update. that was 26 languages. Not all descriptions were online, but 365 were.dolphin_oracle wrote: Sat Jun 24, 2023 4:01 pmi do not have the tools to import the strings form transifex into the package descriptions. all that was set up by other people. if someone wants to do it and make a pull request to our git hub for mx-packageinstaller-pkglist, I will surely incorporate them.user-green wrote: Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:17 am Dear Developers,

The live boot screen no longer works. All I see is a static image during booting.
Is it because of the work currently being done?

@dolphin_oracle It is fast but I was able to see both lines create the X portion of the logo. I saw it during beta 1 and initially beta 2.
I'll boot to Sys-V to see if there is any difference. (possible I have a service taking it's time to load)

Re: MX-23 beta 2 feedback thread
the revised theme is faster than the original. not saying that its so fast you aren't seeing it, but it is much quicker.siamhie wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 11:51 amdolphin_oracle wrote: Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:47 am
maybe but its also possible its just loading very very fast on that machine. I see the animation on my core i7, but its very fast.
@dolphin_oracle It is fast but I was able to see both lines create the X portion of the logo. I saw it during beta 1 and initially beta 2.
I'll boot to Sys-V to see if there is any difference. (possible I have a service taking it's time to load)
