Just a thought, an MX Cleanup project?

and when you run the installer. Anything changed like timezone and/or locale/language?
Also maybe mention what beta2 ISO you have installed, b/c we have some more than just one.
So anything like this would potential help first to reproduce and maybe also to fix the cause of the issue.
This was the Xfce desktop. I didn't change anything on the live ISO before I installed it. I think the only thing I changed on the installer was US central time zone. Everything else was default US settings.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce. Kept all defaults.
After install changed timezone to us-central and disabled all locale except en_US.UTF-8. And all is how it should be with no error messages.

@Jerry3904 Would it be possible to include cursors with MXFB-Look?

I will probably break something else and do a new VirtualBox installation. If it happens again I will post it here.

That's definitely a question for [.mention]Melber[/mention]. It wouldn't happen though until after Final -- we're smack dab in the middle of feature freeze now.

i can tell that it recognizes the --oem switch , because it is not switching windows toward the names input then it fails. The regular non --oem install is switching to the names window before the fail hits.

Yesterday I had difficulties changing in 'settings manager' > 'system keyboard' the configuration in order to be able to type the appropriate symbols of my language; no matter how much I restarted the system it would not enter/accept the changes, only after a total shutdown ...

But now, from this moment on, the network icon that should be on the panel xfce4 has disappeared (?).

*Note:

There had appeared on the panel some usa-little flags probably indicating the change / language, I removed them ... maybe along with them went the network icon. (?) -- If so, how could it be returned ...?.

Thanks
