I am just seeing a logo no download of beta 1
I used it a little while ago without problem, but maybe it's now just temporarily busy. Usual advice: just wait a bit...

Thanks Jerry
That was strange. On my other computer it comes right up.
Now that I have the .iso I am not worrying about Sourceforge.

dang it. i meant to get back on here before i went to sleep. i can't think at the moment but i removed something and ... long story short, managed to get it all worked out without incident. shuffled a couple of things and no sweat. i was having connectivity issues (Wi-Fi) around the time that i first installed this system, and i forget but somewhere along the line i got that hiccup but all good now. when i get on the laptop, i'll reply to advise what pkg i removed.

Best wishes!

hello dolphin_oracle

it began idesktool: iconcheck="$(echo "${icon}" | grep -i "\.png")"

idesktool function iconvalidate() got thrown under the bus,
put our svg foot in the door with hack to include: iconcheck="$(echo "${icon}")"
has no image check for Type; and a blank field, no icon, is accepted.

This sample trials to, in mx-idesktoolinclude,
Get iconvalidate function, around line 555, iconvalidate,
try if validate again is working within the svg, png, xpm Types? Patterns match --file-filter=.
Please trial replace iconcheck="$(echo "${icon}")" with this:
mx-idesktool back in business with iconvalidate?

Code: Select all

iconcheck="$(echo "${icon}"|gawk '/\.svg|\.png|\.PNG|\.xpm/')"
echo $iconcheck
before
if [ "${iconcheck}" = "$icon" ]; then
writefile
else

It appears that I made a mistake about the version to package. See if the updated one attached works better--it was good on b1 testing for me.
