Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
Any idea on when this will get a stable release? I'm also watching for LMDE 6. If MX-23 gets pushed out soon enough, then I would replace my Fedora build with the KDE version of it.

seriously, sometime after debian 12 is released. It will also depend on dev team schedules.

@markol If you have kept MX-23 KDE beta1 updated you should be running 5.27.5 already. I tested it yesterday on the live ISO.

A bit of misunderstanding... I was thanking the devs for this! Just got the updates (still running in a VM)siamhie wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 1:54 pm

Oh, and a question: Is Debian soon-to-be-stable getting the latest Plasma or will they stick to 5.27.2?

@markol It looks to be 5.27.5 but don't quote me on that.

Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
iDeviceMounter doesn't work for the two iPhones I tested: a 7 Plus on iOS 15.7.6 and a SE 2020 on 16.5. I was running MX-23 beta-1 live. That said, I can't get iDeviceMounter to work on MX21.3 or MX19.4 either. On 19.4 the iName and UUID boxes populate but the Mount button has no effect. On 23 beta 1 and 21.3 the iName and UUID boxes do not populate and the Rescan and Mount buttons have no effect. If this MX app isn't one you want feedback on at this time then please ignore.

That's helpful--thanks. We have other reports of problems with this app, including by its original developer, so we will be looking closely at it.

Please add drivers for the old card NVIDIA Corporation G84GLM [Quadro NVS 320M]
In MX 21.3 they were included (nvidia 340) but the new MX 23 system unfortunately does not have them and my laptop will be thrown away.

Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
340 driver may not be included in MX23. Because there is no guarantee that a 340driver will be made for bookworm.
The MX-21.3 still has many years of support in future. You can use it without throwing it away.
I have an MX21.3 machine running the 340 driver and will be sticking with 21.3 without upgrading.
