About the dock autohide problem, I think I found a clue: on my screen autohide works fine when the dock is located bottom center or right center, but not when it is top center or left center. Didn't try other locations.

trying out MX23-KDE. so far looks good will test more today. But no major problems as yet.

Can't reproduce such autohide failure. That's one of the functions that works well here...

Logout was removed because it was unreliable. It will be restored if I ever figure out how.

More good news re: ASUS P5KPL (Legacy Machine):

Suspend works as it should (no problems with lightdm and black screen of death)!!!

With what screen resolution? Maybe it's just a problem with 1366x768

Yeah, might be. If I'm not mistaken, @siamhie was also running a lower resolution when reporting same issue.
My screen has 1920x1080 resolution...
