fan1: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM, max = 3600 RPM)

With corectrl
fan1: 966 RPM (min = 0 RPM, max = 3600 RPM)
Seems like without corectrl fan is not spinning?

So far for me after many attempts I still have not seen the alpha completely booting.. first few times I tried it got part way then errored out stating it could not find the kernel and left me with continue, reboot, and something else for options.. changed the usb I was using 3rd fresh download and.. looked like it was all doing things, then black screen with computer still running fine keyboard responding etc.. Im using an Nvidia 3060ti on a displayport connection here, have not tried running an hdmi cable yet.. but I will keep trying unless anyone has a better idea :)

can't gather a quick info for obvious reasons lol or it would be posted here (well, I wouldn't actually have to post :) )

I'm using MX usb creator
XFCE 4.16 MX 21.3 AHS
Desktop System: Mobo: ROG STRIX Z490-H GAMING CPU: Intel Core i5-10600K
Graphics: NVIDIA TU117 [GeForce RTX 3060ti] driver: NVIDIA 510.47.03

QSI from MX-21.3 would help.
You might not need another download, try a different flashdrive (also try the one you created on a different computer if you have access to one to get an idea if there's a hardware incompatibility or a problem with the flashdrive).

Seems like without corectrl fan is not spinning?

On both my old RX 580 and new RX 6700 XT the fans don't spin until the GPU hits a certain temperature/load (can't remember what it was).
I don't care for their quiet mode so with corectrl, I have the fans running at 25% at idle and set up a manual curve.

It a great little tool. You can also control the fan curve for CPU's. I've got the BIOS handling my CPU which is why the tab is greyed up top.

I noticed two things running my custom conky:
/etc/initrd_release is now /etc/initrd-release
positioning of the conky icons is off (vertically cca -5% comparing to MX21)

Haven't had time to test it thoroughly, but looks pretty solid to me.

I'll only put in a package request after mx23 is released.
Qmplay2 has been in the main repo since the middle of March.
I just added nomacs.
