It's enabled already,

but every time I try to mount a partition after unmounting it (eg my MX21 partitions), the authentication/password window opens again.

Confirmed. I have it set to use the root password, and non root should be able to mount. I unmounted, and then I need to enter a root pass in order to access it again.

Installed 1st time, with manual settings, used gparted 1st to shrink a partition to install on. Rebooted just fine, NVidia drivers installed fine, rebooted fine. Minor issue, grub did not pick up a Nobara install (Fedora respin)

Will keep using and report back any issues found.

I tried to install something with Deb Installer.

It needed me to enter my root pass, which I did.

Code: Select all

Note, selecting 'nuvola-icon-theme' instead of '/media/eadwine/Data/MEGA/Linux/Icons/nuvola-icon-theme_15.08.3-2_all.deb'

  libpocketsphinx3 libsphinxbase3 libssh-gcrypt-4 libvidstab1.1
Use 'apt autoremove' to remove them.
The following NEW packages will be installed:

Well obviously something is going wonky there. How do I sort that?

@dolphin_oracle Your package is doing the same thing.

Jerry3904 wrote: Sun Apr 09, 2023 9:11 am Orage: at the request of a user, I've been testing the notification apparatus. The visual works well so far, but the sound alarm has so far eluded me. Looking into it a bit, I see that there is a default sound defined under Edit > Preferences. It does not play correctly on my Live test machine (just noise) and it seems to ignore the alarm set for the particular event.

I will pursue.
Well it seems that my config files got corrupted somehow--believe it had to do somehow with using the bottom "Save" button by mistake--so I deleted the config file and started again. Now when the first alarm is set without changing the sound file itself, the rc file ~/.config/orage/oragerc has a line that the installed has:

Code: Select all

Sound application=play
and that works. There is then also an orage_default_alarm.txt that is empty. Changing the sound file works without problem and then the default alarm file is populated correctly.

Weird.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Started Document Scanner to test the scanner.

Got "Authentication is required to manage system services or other units." have to enter the root pass.

Scanning works.
