You do have to tell us the model of the printer and the details of the problem. "Not working" is too vague.

edited to add, now that I noticed your info box at the bottom, that communication error is also a bit vague. Is the printer networked or are you using a usb port? If USB, have you tried both ports on your Thinkpad? Have you tried a different usb cable or cleaned the ports with some compressed air? What were you trying to print when you got the error message?
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

It does say it's an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Fax, but we'd like to know if they are trying to use hplip, which version of it if so, and if the printer works with the same setup in any other OS.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

But that "solved" won't appear anywhere, just click the check-mark icon(s) like this:
