How to Update MX-18 to MX-21  [Solved]

Help for Current Versions of MX
When asking for help, use Quick System Info from MX Tools. It will be properly formatted using the following steps.
1. Click on Quick System Info in MX Tools
2. Right click in your post and paste.

Superb.

But.. the size is 595 GiB

In the meantime it formatted the whole 595 GiB successfully (unlike the installer, no errors)

In fact, you can even try to install with this.

The small partition notion is just to have a scan it first, it's not a must...

You also don't have a swap partition at the moment..

But if you like only , you can try to install, close this and click the installation...

whats the pros and cons of a Swap partition. Can we create one later if needed?
And your saying from where I am now try to do another install. Do I need to shut down?

Would auto install work now that all is spic and span?

Swap can be created later but with this layout you'll need to open space first .. It's best (simplest) to do it from the very beginning.

You can try installation any time you like now.. either right now (after closing GParted) or any time later.

Just choose the custom install (the default one already)

Yes, but we're doing these just for auto installation failed several times (sadly).
