I like that too, but the user would need to be able to easily turn it off.

I don’t think I would even try to implement a boot up sound. For one thing sound hardware isn’t up and running when Plymouth starts.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

as I recall.. all you can do at that level is to sound a beep, as D_O said, we have no sound drivers at that level.

Here are the latest MX Startup and Shutdown. I am testing across machines today and will post probably this afternoon.

OK, here with the new logo are:
- Grub Screen
- Animated Boot splash
- Animated Shutdown splash
- DarkAngle desktop backgrounds (Faded and non-faded)
- Instructions on how to install / set them all into place

( wrong link )

I have tested on five computers - fast to slooow and multiple screens. ( but would still like some testing done!)

If anyone has questions, this is the best place to hit me up :-)
