Mirror synchronization problems

#1 Post by mxlinux-cica »

Hello,

Since January 20th we are having synchronization problems with 'iso.mxrepo.com' and 'rsync-mxlinux.org' mirror.

The error is the following:
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (5357 bytes received so far) [receiver].
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(226) [receiver=3.1.2] [receiver=3.1.2].

Is there a problem with the synchronization servers?

Greetings.

You can use the MX Repo Manager to change to a different one.
MX-23.6_x64 July 31 2023 * 6.1.0-37amd64 ext4 Xfce 4.20.0 * 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 2700

Thank you very much for your response.

Our server hasn't got a graphical environment. So we can't use the tool.

Normally we haven't problem with synchronization. But now we get the error following for the 'rsync-mxlinux.org::MX-Linux':

rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (5357 bytes received so far) [receiver].
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(226) [receiver=3.1.2] [receiver=3.1.2] [rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(226)
rsync: [generator] write error: Broken pipe (32)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at io.c(820) [generator=3.1.2] rsync: [generator=3.1.2] rsync: [generator] write error: Broken pipe (32)

Is it possible that there is a problem on the target server?

Greetings.

I think they are mirroring our servers @Eadwine Rose , this isn't a usual support requeset. QSI doesn't mean anything in this case.

@mxlinux-cica the rsync-mxlinux.org server is up, and there are many many mirrors syncing to it. which mirror do you represent?

Thank you very much for your response.

Attached the synchronization command:

receiving file list ... done
./

I'm not sure of the information you are asking for, it refers to: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/ub ... es-archive ?
