Wow... that's great, both in options and aesthetics !!!kobaian wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 6:55 am I was playing a little bit with Rofi, borrowing some concepts from Melber's Comfort-themes and from layouts presented on this github-site: https://github.com/adi1090x/rofi
What Jerry said. They are excellent. Care to share the rasi files / fiddle to them work with rofi-manager (hint hint)?Jerry3904 wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:01 am Very fine @kobaian ! I hope we will be able to put out a small collection when the rofi manager is released in a couple of weeks so I hope you will consider being part of that.
Thank you!Melber wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 9:16 am @kobaian

Yes, that's right. I think the FontAwesome really expands the possibilities of theming Rofi. I couldn't find any available symbol font that does the job.Melber wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 9:16 am Am I right in recalling you are using awesome-font for the "icons which aren't actually icons"?
It depends...Melber wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 9:16 amWhat happens if that's not installed? Do the tabs display no text or does the symbol get substituted with gobbledegook in some other default fallback font?
Code: Select all
display-drun: "";
Fully agree and share your appreciation of this awesome iconfont (no pun intended).kobaian wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 5:50 pm ...Yes, that's right. I would suggest using the fonts-fork-awesome package instead as it is the larger and more complete set of symbols, the current fonts-font-awesome package is intended for use with Twitter bootstrap.ceeslans wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 3:30 amFully agree and share your appreciation of this awesome iconfont (no pun intended).kobaian wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 5:50 pm ...Yes, that's right. It is commonly used in openbox, fluxbox, i3 and many other window managers. Not only useful in rofi, but also in tint2 panel buttons/executors, conky widgets, notification messages etc etc.
Installation takes up 1500 kb of disk space only. Guess it wouldn't harm to add the fonts-font-awesome package to the default MX Fluxbox installation...
