Computer doesn't suspend or shutdown on critical battery [SOLVED]
Hi
I set the power management critical battery level to 10, and the action on reaching it should be to suspend but that never happens.
The battery level has gone down to almost zero and the computer still won't shutdown.
Both Suspend and Hibernate work from their buttons and also using pm-suspend and pm-hibernate.
I have noticed this problem on other Linux distros too, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest what can be done to fix it.
Can anyone suggest why this might happen?
This is an Asus A15 Tuf laptop, but it has happened on other laptops and with other distros.
I have done some googling around and a lot of the suggestions appear to be way out of date (In one instance, they are talking about Ubuntu 14.1)
Thank you in advance

Sometimes this is overlooked:
There are 2 sub-tabs (in Power Manager): "On Battery" and "Plugged In"
Make it sure you did settings for the correct tab
Edit: Yes, that part doesn't change with the tabs...

@Huckleberry Finn: I did make sure it was on the battery tab, that was one of the first things I checked but I appreciate the suggestion anyway

Re: Computer doesn't suspend or shutdown on critical battery
You can do this: Select shutdown for what to do and set critical level to 1 (min. possible).. unplug ... then let it drain completely and shutdown by itself (yes it will sooner or later).
Then let it be charged fully (for hours, best is to leave till the morning). This way it'll be calibrated and it'll know better if it's really 10 or not etc..

Re: Computer doesn't suspend or shutdown on critical battery
... If still not (though we don't have your "Quick System Info") you can try the most recent kernel.

Why did you edit the thing? Just paste was good. Then it gets formatted for the forum so it is easy to read.

There. Apologies.. I added code tags around it like it was supposed to have.
I Selected all and cut and pasted originally before I noticed the copy for forum button.
