Yes: 6.0 will become the default and older ones will get under "Advanced Options" in Grub.

5.18 at best, I just sent the patches to the maintainers.

Then: Menu => Alsamixer : press F6 : select "0 ... Intel" then press F5 (all) then take a screenshot and post. (or just tell what it writes on top-left corner for Card: ... ) .. (Or if there are bars (more than 1-2 only) play with them, (you can unmute/mute with M from keyboard)

looking at the github page, and opening the 2.3 folder, there is nothing in there. 2.2 has some files in it, but 2.3 just says "empty file"
