Adobe Digital Edition on MX Linux 21 Xcfe is possible?

From what I can tell, you're gonna need to use WINE as there's no support for it in Linux.

Take a look at Calibre (it's in the repo) and the DeACSM-Plugin, which does everything Digital Editions is doing.
Works for me!

@el.Barto will it do what OP is asking? (Checking out books at the library). I concur that Calibre is the best!!

I think it will!
You have to download the acsm-file from the store or library-website.
Then import it to calibre.
The plugin then retrieves the ebook-file.
Like digital editions.
This all can be tested with the files from adobe (linked in the mobileread-thread).

Re: Adobe Digital Edition on MX Linux 21 Xcfe is possible?
Ok I followed the@el.Barto instructions and this is the correct method. But with ADE (Adobe Digital Edition) Epub files you have to load them on authorized devices (can be done easily on windows with ADE) so to skip the problem I had to install also the DMR remover plugin on Calibre in order to load the Epub file readable on my Kobo Glo.
With the tool DeACSM plugin you can download the ebook from ADE and in theory you can authorize the Ebook reader but I found impossible to authorize the Kobo Glo.
To authorize it with the plugin you have to load some folders from the Ebook memory but the problem is that the plugin doesn't see mounted the KoboGlo on the selection window, he see just the netbook memory and not other external memories, maybe there is a way to fix this problem on MX Linux?
So my solution was to use the DMR remover tool and then to load the ebook on my kobo Glo, but honestly I don't like that way to work because is not 100% correct in front of the law...
