Internet conection works only with VPN.

I just installed and conected with proton VPN, but now, after a reboot, i can no longer conect without it. Any help about it?

You can create a shortcut from "Keyboard" (from Menu) with that command (even a rarely used single key if you like, say F8, to make it even simpler).. and/or a launcher with the same command, on desktop and/or panel ...

If you connect to ProtonVPN using the GUI, I presume you can logout from it as well. I stopped using the GUI soon after it came out as it appeared to have a memory leak or something.

Yes, no problem with conection from the GUI. Didn't thought that it was diferent from the panel. Thxs all!

Have had the same problem, could be solved the following way, too (hope it's okay to append here):

After Installing Proton, it worked fine, no problems, but after restarting PC:
No Connection to internet (with Firefox...)

I detected in the MX Network Assistant there has been installed (Tab Hardware detected) a dummy driver, last line of drivers.
Disabling didn't work, it enables itself.
So unloading and then blocking it in "Linux-drivers"- tab solved the problem, too. Internet working again.

Edit: removed the lines about drawback concerning PWGorilla-Error because not 1000% sure anymore if it was not yet my fault, big apologies, will try to test
in the following time without any guarantees, a handful of updates not installed when testing proton


BTW, maybe should be known:
in the proton /user/.cache .... dir there are logs, containing accessed URLS (at least when errors occured), maybe someone
may have reasons to be aware of this....

Because this is no official MX-Install, maybe other things could be concerned?!?
