Check Persistence-save "strategy" using RemasterCC (Remaster Control Center), where persist-save at shutdown can be set to none, automatic or on-confirmation.

@fehlix ok found that ,set to 1 automatic ,changed the display and FF. Shutdown the machine . turn it on and Nothing saved, still the standard boot.
Main reason is to set the display to the hdmi screen and not the laptop (broken screen).

The usb is created in "writable" mode isn't it? ( "dd" or tools other than "MX Live Usb Maker" and Rufus on Windows, generally prepare it "read-only")

Consider posting QSI aka "Quick System Info"

To all ,it was after i looked again with remaster that there was no homefs made ! So made that and now i see at shutdown persist-save.
No idea why the hick up appeared, could be my fault, butt it works now :)

Question for the experts can you change options ,like use systemd this sesion ?
