HP Mini 2133 -- MX-21 32-bit works just fine

GOOD NEWS for the dwindling and perverse community around the beautiful but flawed HP Mini 2133: MX Linux 21 (32-bit) installs with no issues and runs with minor issues -- wi-fi comes right up, which means that all other issues can be solved.

I had to adjust the screen resolution and am still playing with audio, but crucially, the display and wireless networking worked out of the box. This means that any other issues can be solved directly.
Not recommended for "modern" web use.

Firefox takes over a minute to start and load this page as the default (1:22). It's a miracle that this thing runs at all, and a testament to the MXL team of teams that it's so easy to setup.
Sound works via headphones but not onboard speakers. Wifi and display worked right out of the box. Runs hot, which has always been a problem with this model.

1.6-GHz VIA C7-M processor, VIA Chrome 9 graphics chip, and 2GB of DDR2 memory.
Pretty cool. Not sure what you'd actually use it for. A smartphone has more power, almost.

"Modern" web browsing is problematic. But web "use" can be handled by alternate browsers, say SeaMonkey or SlimJet instead of Firefox, or by using apps that do not open a browser, such as SMTube or mpv.

MX runs reasonably well in 2 GB or RAM on 32-bit. antiX runs better. Also try MX-Fluxbox.

Sorry I didn't see this (or forgot). The machine is updating now. Had hundreds of line items. Three hours in, it's still chugging along, text flowing uphill.
I will probably back this thing off to a tiny server distro to do backups on my "offline" network.

I will post the QSI when the system is done baking. Great idea; I should have done that.
