What if you try to install something or update via terminal ?

Maybe you just reinstall them that way .. (Or maybe ownerships/permissions were changed somehow)

Just try:

Code: Select all

sudo apt update ; sudo apt dist-upgrade -y
(You can exclude the -y if you like, to make it pause and ask " Y/N ? " )

Or:

Code: Select all

sudo apt update ; sudo apt install --reinstall apt-notifier mx-repo-manager mx-packageinstaller -y

Is users polkit daemon running?
Would you show what happens if you run this command within terminal:

Code: Select all

mx-packageinstaller
and

Code: Select all

mxpi-launcher
Does it open the authentification popup-window? Or something else?
Post anything shown in the terminal.

Is "PolicyKit Authentication ..." checked in "Session and Startup" - "App. Autostart" tab ? If not, check it, apply, reboot.
