MX Package Installer missing apps

#1 Post by eldes »

Hello all,

Firstly, I'd like to appreciate your awesome work you're doing on this distribution.

This time I'm writing to report that several apps listed on MX Package Installer don't work/install
I think it's due to GPG / Licence problems :bagoverhead:

- Spotify
- Google Chrome Stable
- Team Viewer

Also elaborate on your issue. You say "missing apps" in the title but then say "don't work/install" in the body of your post.
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Welcome.. Sorry if I've reported wrongly but newcomers will try to install these apps specially coming from Winblows.

Just tried and installed Google Chrome and Teamviewer without problems, we need detailed info: what is your system (quick system info), what is the error. you see.

spotify needs its gpg process updated, but as per adrian, the other two install OK.

this is on mx21. I did not check mx19.

If that is really the case, go to MX Tools and run the Fix GPG Keys utility. But this is just a shot in the dark until you post your QSI.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Might not work because Fix GPG Keys would not know to check Spotify repo that is enabled by MX Package Installer when trying to install Spotify. However, we'll fix that soon.
