I could have sworn that the mirror or repo he said was having errors was the Ubuntu ppa...

That's what I saw too.
It annoyed me personally that he would use the MX Fluxbox logo that I designed and Utopia executed and then not mention it at all. (Did I say that already?)

he was also saying that the repos were slower than arch but faster than opensuse. I wouldn't worry to much about it.
I updated localize-repo-mx tonight, which won't help anyone until the next isos (snapshot or official). the list repo manager uses will need gone through.
