Have been cherrypicking some scripts from PPC's antiX-transformation-pack - and his "yad-calendar-ft10.sh" script in particular.

This is a nifty script that can be run from a tint2 button, which allows me to view current calendar month , add (and edit if needed) an event for an upcoming date, search and list saved events with common keywords. Saved events will be shown in a tooltip when hovering over the relevant date. Thanks @PPC for this really nice script.

I did edit the script a bit, to adapt it to MX and my personal preferences. Below is a (composed) screenshot showing the various options.

February 2022 screenshot of my MX21-based fluxbox desktop, spinning and purring on an xfce-free system (ie. zero xfce elements/dependencies).
Memory usage idling at ~230mb after startup. Now with roxterm as default terminal-emulator (and good-ol' stjerm for drop-down terminal).

Wallpapers by me - created on-the-fly, using the excellent 'wallcol' scripts by @brontosaurusrex. Just pick a few colors and the script creates a fantastic gradient wp... The second screenshot shows a background with colors based on the default MX-wildflower wallpaper.

Thanks ceeslans, very beautiful. I like the simple and efficient approaches you put forward in your desktop settings, and with artistic sense as a nice addition :) I would vote for some of your creations for a MX-fluxbox default desktop... As I think such approaches are relaxing, efficient and easier to understand and use for begginers (and for advanced users as well).

- I will try these scripts to make gradients, looks simple and nice.
- For the "no-xfce" desktop, I like the idea, but I stick with xfce4-power-manager. Let you get a notification when low-battery, can shut down the screen when unused... Do you have some other tool with similar functions ?
- I stick as well with xfce4-terminal, I am used to it with some nice customizations, and its drop-down mode. I may try your stjerm, but has been abandonned since 2017.

Actually the tool that prevent me from dropping my RAM number as low as your is keepassxc, which I like very much as a password manager - and eats 100 Mo RAM.
Personal: MX-Fluxbox 23 (Dell XPS 15 Laptop, Intel Core i7-9750H, GeForce 1650, RAM 16 Gb, SSD 500 Gb)
Work: AntiX 21 runit Fluxbox + AntiX 19 Fluxbox ("frugal" installs on Windows laptop)

Let you get a notification when low-battery
Actually, every single tint2 that we provide has a battery icon in the systray that we set to appear when the power level drops below 15% -- which you can of course change to anything you want. I run my Lenovo X1 Carbon every day below that level and have never failed to see the red icon show up.
