Adobe acrobat reader only prints in b/w

I used the AskUbuntu solution and it appeared to work well. However, printing is a problem. Acrobat only prints in B&W in low resolution, so it is rather useless. Haven't explored a resolution yet. I also tried installing Acrobat Reader for XP and Windows 7 using wine. It stalled and wouldn't complete. I had high hopes that it might be a solution as I have had luck with wine for several other Windows programs.
