Question from FB today from a number of users: why is slimjet not included in MX-21? I said that it may have been simple oversight but would ask.

I see a very recent 64 bit version on the download page:

That installs and seems to run well in the 30 secs I spent looking at it.
Production: MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

Yep. I'm on at the moment installed with that deb file.

Hmmm, thanks. It could go into MX Test Repo then, I would think.

We've never had slimjet in our repo. We did have it in popular apps at one time.

in the past they have broken debian compatibility without warning. that's why I removed it from popular apps. it was a PITA to keep up with.

Popular apps would just install their deb file.

A more recent thread indicated that the OP had installed Slimjet via MXPI. As I and at least one other person commented, Slimjet at this point does not seem to be anywhere to be found in the repos?
