For snapshots just make sure you have a drive mounted and the snapshot program will see it.
You can then make a folder and name it whatever you want and put the snapshot in there.
I just did one of mx21 and saved it to my 5tb secondary hard-drive.

Also don't do what i did which is spend ages trying to figure out why there's no 'Bios-Grub' and why grub boot-repair wouldn't work.
I had a light-bulb moment and realised i was booting my usb stick wrong.
There was two on my pc boot screen:
Adata usb
+
Adata usb uefi.

I should have booted the mxlinux live usb from the uefi one.

Though it depends on how you have your pc setup i suppose.
+ your brain's ability to retain learned LInux knowledge :)

I now have 21 running, no issues, and a 'more flexible' partition setup, as suggested here. Thanks!!
