Retroshare, qTox, Ricochet-Refresh and TAS Cloud

#1 Post by CyberGhost »

Hi some of you my have heard of these clients and sites before and some of you may have not. If you value privacy, anonymity, and security then this should be right up your alley. Note to Admins: If this is not allowed then please delete! Thanks!

Retroshare is a free, open-sourced, secure, encrypted, anonymous, multi-platform application for securely sharing files and communicating with trusted friends in a global decentralized network. Homepage: https://retroshare.cc/ | Docs: https://retrosharedocs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
FAQ: http://retroshare.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... _Questions
Also, if I recall correctly, it may be installed via Flatpak from the MXPI.

OFTC network: irc.oftc.net Channel: #retroshare
Libera Chat network: irc.libera.chat Channel: #retroshare
There used to be a retroshare channel on Rizon and Spotchat too but not sure if they're still active or not.

qTox is a secure, encrypted, lightweight communication and file sharing client. Homepage: https://qtox.github.io/
About https://qtox.github.io/#about | Blog https://qtox.github.io/blog/ | FAQ https://github.com/qTox/qTox/wiki/FAQ
The IRC channel is on the Libera Chat network. Channel: #qTox
Also, qTox is available in the Stable Repo of MXPI

Ricochet-refresh is an open-source project to allow private and anonymous instant messaging. | Homepage https://www.ricochetrefresh.net/
There's not an official IRC channel for this client. This client is available in the Stable Repo of MXPI but it is an outdated version so I recommend downloading from their website.

TAS Cloud is a secure end to end encrypted, communication and file sharing platform. | Homepage https://www.tascloud.me/index.php/login
There's no official IRC channel for this client. Although on the OFTC and Libera Chat networks, in #retroshare, help and support is provided there as the Admin is very active with both Retroshare and TAS Cloud. Sometimes you may get an error when trying to connect to the TAS Cloud website. This is due to routine maintenance. If you can't connect, then try again later.

Hope to see you on the flip side! Have fun!
