Hello, not really a package request as such, just a question.

MX 19 and MX21 use yad 0.40.0, which seems to be the last version available on sourceforge dating from 2017

It looks like further development of yad has happened on github, v.0.41.0 from 2019 up to the current v.10.1 from May 2021

Is there a reason MX has stayed with v.0.40.0?

Okay, with a bit more precise use of the advanced search I found this thread viewtopic.php?p=623521&hilit=yad#p623521

Debian stable has never gone past using 0.40.0 and apparently MX tools don't display properly using the newer version 7.3 in MX test repo

Sorry, I lost track of this thread. Now that we have bullseye I'm going to try it again sometime.

Not only Debian Stable, also Testing and Sid repositories carrying nothing higher than 0.40.0 version

Hi,

I believe the MX Tools currently all use QT5 not Yad, perhaps they used to use Yad and GTKDialog..
