Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace and the login screen seems to indicate that you must kill X (that's the Ctrl-Alt-Bckspc) and when X restarts it obviously brings up the login window (if no auto login)
For me on the MacBookPro unfortunately it's just a black screen, only way out is hard reboot (power button)

Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
Greetings
Thank you for all the work you're putting in.
Upgraded from beta2 to rc1. Updated daily.
Suspend was working fine except the wireless mouse if "on" & moved would wake the laptop!
However now, resume from suspend doesn't work.
Open laptop lid to a blank screen, both from closing the lid and selecting from menu.
Hard reboot is necessary as alt-ctrl-backspace/delete have no effect.
If you need more info, please ask.
Update:
Suspend works with kernel 5.10.9 not with 5.14.9-2
Also TLP/acpi-call installed & active with 5.10.9, kernel error with 5.14.9 - battery charging control is not functioning with either kernel.
info 5.10 kernel:
Info 5.14 kernel

@Jamesthedisciple full Quick System Info would be nice... neofetch just doesn't provide enough info.
Same goes for everyone else... "Don't work" doesn't help narrow down the issues.
When testing an Beta or RC its even more important to follow this viewtopic.php?p=255062#p255062

Also testers need to update their systems, check to make sure you are using a good mirror if you have to because you don't see updates, I can tell from the QSIs posted that testers are not updating.

I cannot reproduce this in a VM or physical install, are you still having this issue?lra wrote: Sun Oct 17, 2021 8:07 pm Installation went fine. The only issue so far is with Thunderbird:

Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
More about "suspend" not working. First, here's my system information:
I tried re-installing pm-utils, in case there was some sort of error in the installation of the package. Made no difference.
I tried using intel driver instead of modesetting. Made no difference.
I tried booting with systemd — Bingo!
When I booted with systemd, suspend worked properly again! Hopefully that will enable the devs to locate the error.
P.S. Just tested hibernate with systemd, that works as before.

I tried using intel driver instead of modesetting. Made no difference.
I tried booting with systemd — Bingo!
When I booted with systemd, suspend worked properly again! Hopefully that will enable the devs to locate the error.
P.S. Just tested hibernate with systemd, that works as before.

Same goes for everyone else... "Don't work" doesn't help narrow down the issues.
When testing an Beta or RC its even more important to follow this viewtopic.php?p=255062#p255062

You can see that the lower 2/3 of the screen is blank, the top 1/3 has been rotated to the right and has wrapped round. When I hit the power button on my computer, the shutdown messages are moved to the right. The keyboard doesn't respond.
