Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
I just installed RC1 and I came across a problem with wine. I installed via MX Package Installer 'winehq-staging'. Running the launch command in a terminal I came across the error that Vulkan was not compiled with wine [sorry I did not keep the terminal output] The result was that my Windows app 'YI Home Camera' would not load any video. I tried with both nouveau and nvidia drivers. I have since installed winehq-stable manually and my app is running fine with nvidia driver. Hope this helps...

Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
@mrneilypops thanks for the report, when you said "installed winehq-stable manually", and you tell us how you installed it? Was it by using MXPI or Synaptic? And can you please provide your Quick System Info?
There is a minor update to vulkan-validationlayers, which I'll package right now, but not sure if that will fix your specific issue or not.

Re: MX-21 "ahs" (Xfce) RC1 feedback
@mrneilypops thank you for updating your post with your QSI, but you're not running MX-21 AHS, which is what this thread is for. You're using the standard MX-21 Xfce RC1.
We need to get your posts moved to the MX-21 Xfce RC1 thread, I'll as someone to do that.
I see the WINE repo added manually and just saw your last post, so thanks for that info on how you installed wine-stable. We also have wine-stable in our Repos btw, so you didn't have to do that.
But one more question though, you said you used MXPI to install wine-staging, but did you install WINE from the Popular Applications tab or the Stable Repo or MX Test Repo tab?
Give me and everyone else some time to look into the issue.

@SwampRabbit Sorry about the wrong thread.
I installed wine initially from MXPI->Misc->Wine

Ok thank you, we'll look into the issue. I asked for these non-AHS posts to be moved.mrneilypops wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 12:08 pm @SwampRabbit Sorry about the wrong thread.

I would like to verify that its an issue with wine-staging and determine if wine-stable from our repos works fine.
