I'm testing now a new alternative background for the dualum-dock, full transparent with a just the 5px border on the bottom, that appears in the autohide mode as a line covering the border of a maximized window. I think this solution could be really useful for laptops with a low resolution screen.

Code: Select all

# Background 9: Panel
rounded = 0
border_width = 5
border_sides = B
border_content_tint_weight = 0
background_content_tint_weight = 0
background_color = #cccccc 0
border_color = #cccccc 78
background_color_hover = #cccccc 0
border_color_hover = #cccccc 100
background_color_pressed = #cccccc 0
border_color_pressed = #cccccc 100

MX-21_fluxbox_64 iso live
tint2 live preview pop-up taskbar preview is behind other windows, covered. (?)

hello All
toggle panel is a fix, and
edit: reflection in Decmber here; in /startup when the tint2 command is moved to after the background, or nitrogen call it, command (even plus sleep 1s after nitrogen wallpaper(?)) the tint2 live previews draw properly. It may have something to do with this wallpaper background becoming set before tint2? If idesk is in-charge of wallpaer does it need to run prior to tint2? timing?
tint2session after nitrogenrestore fixed it. tint2 is pretty much last on the startup list now.

I'm not understanding. Are you talking about starting with MX-21 Xfce and then using Package Installer?

Hello Jerry3904
"talking about starting with MX-21 Xfce" Yes.

nothing insisted <custom-toolbox> be installed with <mxfluxbox> package. used Synaptic.

discovered its absence and installed it, (the <custom-toolbox>) for mxfluxbox settings manager to function.

I don't believe that MXPI function has been updated yet, from something DO said somewhere--but I could be wrong. Do you have mxfb-accessories:

Code: Select all

apt policy mxfb-accessories
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB

Hello Jerry3904
MX-21
Yes <mxfb-accessories> installed
as a current Depends of <mxfluxbox>.

(and i know that changed. because <mxfluxbox> in beta the Depends were different than in Final. with your sorting of goodies and accessories and mxfluxbox)

Came accross Amigo's forum post on his MX-Fluxbox logo variations again. I made some modifications to it and added further color combinations.
Wouldn't this make a really cool and modern logo for a next MX Fluxbox release?

Those are certainly some interesting ideas, for sure. We'll see. I'm always reluctant to change logos once they have a certain use history.
