I downloaded the .deb file from the official Opera website, installed it, and it doesn't start either, I downloaded Opera_Developer.deb and installed it, and it does start. What is the reason? Firefox and Vivaldi work without problem.
Opera is third party and not open source so there isn't much we can do about their deb but lets see if there is something else.

I had the same issue. In Settings > Custom Shortcuts, the Print key is pointing to kde-spectacle which is not installed by default. Working fine after installation.

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback
BTW, you could install kde-spectacles... I actually like it better than ksnip but I decided to replace it because it was crashy for me.
Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback
Another situation that I have and did not happen to me with MX beta 2 is that the screen after some time of inactivity, does not turn off, I have the same configuration, I did not change it for the RC.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback
A fix is identified; an updated of MXPI->PopApps opera installer will be available asap
+++EDIT+++
As you have installed vivaldi:
A workaround fix to make opera work again:
Code: Select all
sudo cp /opt/vivaldi/lib/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/lib_extra/libffmpeg.so
Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback

installed with ventoy usb by the time the kettle had boiled
turn off all dimming/suspending etc inactivity things and lid closing is set to do nothing
i always install zoom, warpinator, hypnotix, vivaldi, apt-notifier and qbittorrent and cozy for starters .... they all work perfectly ....
