Upgrade to Windows 11

#1 Post by NickStone »

I heard yesterday that a new version of Windows was released.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to upgrade MX-19.4 to Windows 11.

I have been using

Code: Select all

sudo apt dist-upgrade
and

Code: Select all

sudo apt upgrade windows11
Has Windows 11 reached to repositories yet?

You should post your QSI, then we can tell you your machines doesn't meet the minimum speciation as it wasn't made in the last 6 months.

Personally, I follow the "just say 'no'" approach to such upgrades.... :needcoffee:

Only if they're the kind where you can toboggan down afterwards.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.
