How-to remaster an ISO Live?

Why is it that booting an MX ISO from a multiboot stick generated with Easy2Boot, Ventoy, or YUMI won't give the same results?

Booting worked for me when I used Easy2boot. The thing is that the snapshot needs a writeable media, so when running mx-snapshot, instead of saving the snapshot to /home/snapshot (in the first window), select a device or partition you can write to store the ISO snapshot for you.

1. Boot live-usb that was created with MX-live-usb-maker, with persistence. (Each time you reboot, make sure you enable persistence if you haven't saved that setting.)

2. Customize live-usb to the way you want it. You don't need to do this in all one step, but each time you shut down, saving persistence each time you shut down and booting again with persistence so you can continue customizing.

3. When the live-usb is the way you like it, use MX-Remaster CC to remaster your live USB. Then reboot.

4. After rebooting into the remasterd live-usb, use MX-Remaster CC to remove the outdated files. This is an option on the Persistence menu item.

5. Use MX-Snapshot to create a personal ISO of your running, customized live-usb.

4. Once the ISO is created, create a NEW live-usb with MX-Live-usb maker from the ISO that you created in step 5.

As long as there's enough RAM and usable storage, snapshot works for me.
Results do vary when using different hw - some settings appear forgotten - but don't know (yet) why/which.

Not sure why Mark All Upgrades insisted on marking Pinned kernel package;
had to Fix Broken Packages (why no way to list which ones?),
then Mark for Upgrade one-by-one.
