MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
PPC: great stuff but little time or personnel on this end to pursue for Final as we are all pushing toward an RC so everything except bugs is frozen. But afterwards...!

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
So Adrian has put through a new Custom Toolbox, the app that underlies Settings Manager, and it looks like it takes care of the resizing problem.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
I applied an update (just 1-everything has been up to date) 10 minutes ago but I can't honestly remember what it was. I'm still seeing the problem.Jerry3904 wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 3:16 pm So Adrian has put through a new Custom Toolbox, the app that underlies Settings Manager, and it looks like it takes care of the resizing problem.

I logged out and back in I think before it took effect.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
I've re-booted twice now. When I get the LightDM to show fully, the Network Assistant moves up a row and it's name disappears.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
What's your screen resolution? I just use the scroll bar on the right side of the app on small screens.

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
Are you making it wider when that happens?

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
Yes. I just wanted to get the vertical scroll bar to disappear. So I would widen the window until it was gone.
EDIT: here is the MX Tools window and Settings Manager window at the same size. 693x871

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
I just installed it on my old netbook. Installation took around 40 minutes due to the slowness of this machine but it boots up and seems to work. I'll need to set it up like I had it before with MX-19.4, preventing unneeded services from starting and installing Falkon then configuring Fluxbox to use it instead of Firefox. Meanwhile it doesn't seem to be any slower than MX-19.4 with Fluxbox.
