thanks @fehlixfehlix wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 11:05 am Live-system: two "glitches:
* Live-boot appears to hang due to requested live-password change:
User can select boot option "password" to change live users password (demo/root) before booting:
Under boot options select password:
boot-option-live-change-pw-before-boot.png
press enter and it lists "Boot option: password"
boot-option-live-pw-change.png
But when booting the system will just hang at "live scripts ...":
boot-option-live-change-pw-system-hangs.png
So currently the user need to know to press Alt-F1, to see the password change screen:
boot-option-live-alt-f1-change-pw.png
The fix was already send up to gitlab live-intitrd.gz, but somehow have been overloaded by other changes.
So will upload again...
* A small "translation" item for an already translated string with the "Boot options" menu:
An already translated string within the boot options menu "vcard menu: ...." appears not to be translated.
Examples in French and Spanish:
boot-option-live-vcard-menu-not-translated.pngboot-option-live-vcard-menu-not-translated-fr.png
The reason: An already fixed typo of the orignal string in English seems to be have reappeared within the menu. So will check again.
The major things are in the announcement https://mxlinux.org/blog/mx-21-beta-2-n ... -purposes/Feuerkl1nge wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:18 pm Before I upgrade to beta 2, I'm interested in knowing the most relevant differences between updating beta1 via apt and updating via reinstall to beta2.
got a graphic for a suggestion? its harder than it looks.mowest wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:42 pm I mentioned this under beta 2 Fluxbox, but @Jerry3904 mentioned that the MX Welcome is not under the control of the Fluxbox team, so I thought I would mention here.
Is it possible to change the color splash (just below the window title bar) to a set of colors that blend better with the colors of the default conky and wallpaper? Since this will be the first impression that everyone sees when the system is booted up for the first time, I thought it might be a nice polish for the final.
