As far as the fork we are using, the current developer is the reason it is as good as it is, and he is the reason it made it into the official Xfce GitLab. So I think those comments are a little harsh assumptions.
My concern is or was that if Docklike makes it into the release version of MX-21 as is, it would generate a lot of help requests, bug reports and negative reviews. I personally would have had to remove it and install launchers and window buttons to get the expected functionality. Others may not know how to do that.
I will package the latest version probably in the next day or two and hopefully it meets everyone’s demands before final release.
OK, cool. I hope it fixes the icon issues!

They're the only thing I have against Docklike now that I've learned how to use it. It takes some getting used to, having the same panel icons act both as launchers and indicators of what's currently running.
