okay. i am just ready to see a good side. until there is just one entry, either leave it, delete it,
Or add -c seems fun. i am not suggesting permanence default. just make the most of what you got.

what if,
If it is some user's first experience adding a code option while experiencing the changed result, then you might create a coder for life from this first encounter with code.
Or make a mx-fluxbox user for life devotee. all from a lesson using a -c in rootmenu.
silly maybe, but you never know ..

All normal. Edited full_menu and renamed Update Menu to Reset Fluxbox Menu in menu-mx so I would stop resetting my menu. lol

[submenu] (Accessories)
#[exec] (Application Finder ) { xfce4-appfinder } Categories=Utility;X-XFCE;
[exec] (Application Finder ) { xfce4-appfinder } Categories=Utility;X-XFCE;

and menu-mx

[separator]
[exec] (Reset Fluxbox Menu) {/usr/bin/mxfb-menu-generator}

Image
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

I just noticed following error message in ~/xsession-errors: WARNING: tempfile is deprecated; consider using mktemp instead.
I don't know when this started, whether it related to MXFB21 beta1, or MX21 beta1 - or a misconfiguration from my part...
When doing a web search, I stumbled upon a debian bugs paste dated Aug 18 2021, which reports on (or may be related to) this issue:
https://linux.debian.bugs.dist.narkive. ... s-xsession

Has anyone seen this error popping up and/or can comment on possible severity:

for good order sake, below is the latest xsession-errors contents:

A couple of obsevations:
  • In the Settings Manager app the settings themselves are translated but the window text (Common settings for MX Fluxbox) and the buttons about/help/edit/close are still in english.
  • Mugshot app opens xfce Terminal as well as mugshot itself.
  • Shutdown using tint2 button and logout popup works, shutdown via fluxbox menu hangs
.

I've come across a couple of quirks. Nitrogen doesn't see the images in ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds but will if I add the directory (/home/siamhie/.fluxbox/backgrounds) in preferences. I've changed the default folder for saving Quickshot screenshots from Pictures to Downloads in mxfb-quickshot.conf. How do I stop it from creating a second image that gets saved to my home folder (name of image starts with feh_)?

On the Nitrogen problem: try $HOME/.fluxbox/backgrounds instead. I have a running list where the tilde doesn't work (mea culpa).

On the second image: I need to check the script on that behavior, thanks. I had never noticed it before.
