The verbal notification is just triggered by tint2, I think notifyd is doing the actual work. That msg will show with every login I believe.

so you won't get another notification later on? if so, doing the check before issuing the message seems ok.

oops wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 11:04 am ... Maybe this kind of cmd line works for both (laptop and desktop) ?

Code: Select all

battery_low_cmd = bash -c "[[ $(upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0 | grep 'power supply' | cut -d: -f2) == no ]] && { ;} || { notify-send 'battery low'; }"
It prevents the unwanted message on a desktop.

@oops thanks for that!

I will run the beta with that to make sure that I still get low battery behavior: icon percentage shows up in red next to clock.

I realise this is personal choice, but it seems a bit odd to me to have a pretty decent music player, but nothing to play video.

On the basis of lightness, what about dropping DeadBeef (sorry Jerry), and including mpv, as it will play both audio and video files.?

The desktop right-click menu contains an entry for Email, which does nothing.

We discussed this at some length, and I am still a fan of using Firefox which on this B1 is very fast and error free for the desktop videos link. Pretty stubborn here...

I have created a vertical version of the default panel (though the battery fix is not there yet) that I would like people to take a look at if possible.
