Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
Hello Team,
Just a quick note, no technical details needed. When I opened the Thunar File Manager, and searched for the install log, minstall.log, and opened the log in FeatherPad, the system updater ran and presented an update notice for mx full install update.
I may have hit the system while you were working the system archive. Sorry if the case.Terminal came back with a newer version, tried to update, then failed at 404.
The beta os loaded flawlessly in VirtualBox, HP 17z-ca0000 AMD A9-9425 (2C+3G), needed to full update once installed, but is stable. Did notice the efi loader complaining about plymouth system missing, but the shell moved on to the efi loader without intervention. There are some host issues, but those are specific to windows and fTPM/SecureBoot/DataGuard in front of VirtualBox. Will send more if needed, but trying to keep it simple for now. Thank you for all the hard work. I know it is not rocket science, but it does run the rocket, soooo....

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
Checking out MX21 beta. Just a simple note from an old issue. Unable to prevent desktop window from flowing under top horizontal panel. I had the same problem in MX19 but ??? went away. I do not have: Do not save space... checked. It's a little annoying but maybe I missed a setting somewhere. First time posting and I like the xfce4 desktop here.
Thank you!

I wonder if one of my early reports got lost:
By default, the wallpaper is loaded in tiled mode; so if a custom resolution is set for the monitor and then used normally, we see the tiled wallpaper and then later stretched to fill when full desktop is loaded after each login. Suggestion: default wallpaper load mode: stretched.

HI:
Missing translations es_ES and it is not in the Transifex resources:
In MXTeak, in "Others -> Use Client Side Decorations (CDS) on GTK3 applications that support them (requires session restart)",
it does not appear translated into Spanish.
Greetings from Senpai

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
One time due to file comparison I occasionally noticed overwriting of my firefox esr bookmarks did not succeed.
I am pretty sure I have overwritten correctly. (No Layer8 issue)

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
Trying frugal (don't really have much experience with it), here's what I've noticed:
1. First issue: it gets stuck at "Looking for space", I actually had to press CTRL-ALT-F1 to see the message that it didn't find suitable space and press there "C" to continue or "R" to restart. I think when it didn't find the free space it should have switched to CTRL-ALT-F1 automatically or pop a message at least.
2. Not sure why it didn't find space, on this test laptop I have a GPT NVMe drive with a NTFS and a 30GB free ext4 partition. Does frugal have problem with NVMe drives?
3. Minor issue: the English GRUB menu for Advanced text arrangement is a bit weird, the entries are not aligned in any way and there's seemingly random spacing 1, 2, or 3 blanks between label and explanation. As I see we should either align the second column or use consistent number of blanks between the elements.

Would latest MX-19.4 iso, find the NVMe drive and offer to select the partitions for a frugal install?Adrian wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 12:42 am Trying frugal (don't really have much experience with it), here's what I've noticed:

Probably some spaces not trimmed, which are used to align the list with disabled GRUB theme.Adrian wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 12:42 am 3. No difference, so at least we know it's not a regression.fehlix wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 7:58 am Would latest MX-19.4 iso, find the NVMe drive and offer to select the partitions for a frugal install?
