Done, and no changedolphin_oracle wrote: Wed Aug 04, 2021 4:42 pm @CharlesV please remove gtk3-nocsd, logout and login. and see if it helps your flicker. I have no idea if it will, but the gtk3-nocsd has proven to produce some odd behavior in other applications.

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
@dolphin_oracle I changed to use the Intel drivers and no change to the flicker.
Also tried both modsetting and some tweaks, ( no change ) and
also tried removing the xserver-xorg-video-intel which has worked to resolve some Lenovo Intel issues for me before, however this caused the Yoga to not start X server, and attempting to work around it didnt work for me, so back on board.
You have bigger fish to fry then this, and seems very isolated, so no worries on it.

@CharlesV when using MX Tweak for the non-CSD thing did you log out and back in or try a reboot?
Some of these settings don’t take affect immediately

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
Just confirming that you actually removed gtk3-nocsd rather than just switching off.
I suspect the Firefox menu issue went away though

yes, I removed gth3-nocsd and rebooted. (and just double checked that it was gone. )dolphin_oracle wrote: Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:19 pm Just confirming that you actually removed gtk3-nocsd rather than just switching off.

Two new things just popped up.
1) Firefox now starts, but is not going anyplace. Blank menu's, ( Categories (New Tab, History, Downloads, Print etc, but nothing in them !) Cannot type in address bar, took approx 2 min for mxlinux screen to open ??
2) I am noticing that sometimes when I log in my wifi connects normally, sometimes I have to go up and click on it to connect.

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
@SwampRabbit @dolphin_oracle. Desktop settings from right mouse click flickers 5 or 6 times before opening, seems to be some type of partial window draw (real light, then brighter, then light and brighter again .
I have encountered the same issue on my VM but it was occasional and not all the time.
My wallpaper folder which I've set is in the virtualbox shared folder.
Flicker seems more likely to happen when I have changed the contents of the wallpaper folder from host machine without refreshing from within guest VM. I assumed it was a lag thing while the desktop settings refreshed and redrew all the wallpaper images in the preview pane.

Re: MX-21 beta 1 feedback thread
right-click in firefox webpage the flicker can be a tooltip pop-up not showing, trying to show with very short duration. i see the tooltips when the right-click is working correctly and realize this is the flicker when it is not working okay.
The lines in scrot -selection -s convinced me to write-in when on same one machine the antiXbullseye did not make lines, but the mxbullseye makes lines. Now have tested scrot -s in the acer idca machine does not have the -s lines from scrot. one out of three machines has a clean rectangle. so it is not a problem Everywhere.
