@SwampRabbit
I can visualize what you're going through... busy beta days have got you fully involved... ;)
I just wanted to provide honest feedback that could help in any way with the issues/packages you people are working with.
I understand that final release build will have them ironed out; but beta is what I'm testing and reporting issues. (yes, it's selfish, if I report now, I'll enjoy a good release for the next 2 years. :lol:)

Regarding the same issue, dunno if you're aware of, removing sharing using the tab and applying doesn't change back the previous default permissions of the shared folder.
Ignore if that's how it's supposed to work for the time being.

Dunno if this is correct behavior, xfwm compositor settings>show shadows under regular windows - option does not save, always disabled when opened later.

swamprabbit - and other devs - i sincerely appreciate all of your hard hard work on MX! this work can be stressful but then again there are some folks here who are self-centered and too demanding for the status of the current work build. Too bad their negative energy ends up rubbing off on the good people working so hard and diligently on this new release.

Do not worry, there is no problem and there is no emergency (it is a beta stage for MX21), every body has to know how to take the time it takes to do well and without stress ... Everyone already knows that everyone does his best here.
It's even for that than it is important to be franc between friends.

To be fair, I think the member in question does have useful feedback, and I suspect will have even more for the eventual plasma beta.

Perhaps it's just the tone or wording or frequency of some posts. But the content appears substantive, at least from my non-techie perspective.

understood; however, it seems as though more sensitivity should be had re: the devs hectic work and life and family schedule while developing the new release. the pressure is tough enough without too much extra 'noise' despite the credible content in some of the posts. empathy is crucial here. over and out!

It is impossible to burn an iso-file with Xfburn. The software replies: "Dieser Schreibmodus wird noch nicht unterstützt." I am testing MX Linus 21 as an installed system. All worked well under MX 20.

Can you kindly translate that error message into English as you're posting in an English language thread? Thanks.
