Trying to get to grips with Docklike; the Thunar entry has 'Home', Computer', and 'Wastebasket'. Is it possible to add other locations? For example 'Music'.

Just like the choice between sudo / su. If to much work or headaches then could it be written up on how to change back to Windows Buttons.
Right-Click the Panel and add and remove what you don’t want. Or you can do it from the Xfce Panel settings. It’s really no different than adding or removing anything else.

But a switch in tweak might be possible, if someone has time to implement it. The code for MX Tweak is on GitHub for anyone to submit commits to.

I'm not adding a switch in tweak for automatically swapping out docklike and tasklist/windowbuttons. Its pretty easy to do though from the panel settings dialogs.

Chris, I’m sure it’s possible, and probably not hard either. I thought, not sure anymore, that the menu for the different items come from some backend tie in to the different apps.

The menu used to be a lot different, like a lot larger. Some people want less, others wanted more, I think the developer decided to stop at a happy medium because of all the fuss and try and spend time on big squashing instead.

What I definitely don’t know is if it’s possible to adjust that one your own through the configuration file. You can do some pretty cool stuff with the new CSS that is being implemented and the original .rc file…. I just don’t know enough on either that’s for sure.

The goal of this plugin is/was not to become a massive resource hungry tool like compiz, DockbarX, and the likes. Not sure if the developer wants to add lots more or complex features. One can always ask though.

Need to know if you would like me continue on this one. ( For your testing only )

I have a Lenovo Yoga 900 running windows 10. Went to install mx21 beta on it and it shoots me a
linpus lite boot failed

and thats it.

I have disabled secure boot and the usb boots perfect in another machine, so that looks fine. I started reading up on "linpus lite boot failed" on 19.x threads and it sounds like turning off UEFI got around this, but would prefer to have it on - for dual booting this one.

Probably something in the bios settings, but am I helping at working at this, or should I not worry about it at this time?

Don't think about adding any switch. It can with settings dialogs. I did manage to get it just like I have on MX19, some of it was by trial and error.

@CharlesV so you get the same issue with MX-19?

I think we’ve had a lot of folks post about that issue with MX-19 with certain laptops. I think @JayM or @Huckleberry Finn probably have the fix info saved somewhere or memorized.

I reverted to MX19 style but before that I open it on one workspace1 and showed the video folder. I open another on workspace2 and showed the music folder. I then mouse over Thunar in the panel and it showed both folders. Try it and see what I'm wanting to say.

It is not what you want but may point in the direction.

@CharlesV try creating your live USB with GPT partitioning instead of MSDOS partitioning. Advanced Options in Live USB Maker.

I wonder if I had the same problem. A brand new cruzer with MX Live USB Maker. Everything seemed to go ok. When I booted, my f12 boot choice showed the device (linpus lite. BTW: Where does that name come from? I've always wondered.). I chose it. But, the system booted the hard drive (skipping my choice. I tried unetbootin. Same thing.). I finally used MX Tools > Format USB. Then used Live USB Maker. That worked.

Does that sound like the same experience? If so, I wonder why USB Maker (or unetbootin) wouldn't detect it and do the necessary? Sorry if I'm off topic. It's just that if my experience is the same thing, then someone referred to "fix info permanently saved somewhere." That made me wonder why the tool(s) wouldn't detect the condition? (But, we may be talking about different things?).
