window list , like middle-click in Desktop, has an active right-click windowmenu for dockapps. like for wmmoonclock. dockapps are a rarity(?)
(and window list can be tiny arrow in a place. image)
I employ window list [button] rather as a taskbar overflow list, for a overfull taskbar condition. and now with docklike for the dockapp windowmenu.

Docklike Taskbar the previews !

MX21 is a beautiful Desktop here.

Hello SwampRabbit and everyone
For Docklike Taskbar
a middle-click on an icon closes, quits the application(?)
and
i am am not getting "mouse wheel to cycle through open windows" instead it is scroll wheel is same as left click hovering taskbar icons. no cycling found with scrollwheel.
"Use your Super key to start or switch applications extremely fast" is +plus a numeral number keyed(?)

Yes, some icons are missings here too, my redshift icon too here (I use papirus icons here).

I also installed the papirus-folders package (to have my palebrown color)
https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTe ... us-folders
Papirus Installer
Use the script to install the latest version directly from this repo (independently on your distro):
Install

Code: Select all

wget -qO- https://git.io/papirus-folders-install | sh

papirus-folders -l --theme Papirus
papirus-folders -C palebrown --theme Papirus

i_ri wrote: Sun Aug 01, 2021 11:57 pm JayM it needed a restart to complete the csd reset, so if that was the first restart since the cs removal that did it. (?)

also to unmark the checkbox for csd in tweakOther
there is an "Apply" button. honestly, i missed that once, .. plus reboot.
requiring restart to change means that the nonpersistent live will be saddled with the choice in the tweakOther checkbox(?)
@i_ri yes, unless you disable then remaster.

I did the remove checkmark next to CSD option in MX tweak other and I only needed to log out, with the save session option checked on the log out window, and then I logged into root, made some changes as well and logged back into demo and all was well with my applied XFWM themes on the window borders. The icons too. I had default as my window boarder, greybird-MX dark as my gtk3 theme and adwaita icons(fall back icon set)as my icon theme as well as I applied these themes to the log in window and all was applied once I logged out and back in. But I know that may not be what you guys are talking about, but just sayin.. And it was in a non persistent live session with no reboot needed

Ryzen 3 3200/Vega 3 hangs while booting Live USB

#259 Post by az2020 »

21.b1 Live USB hangs while booting on Ryzen 3 3200/Vega 3 (Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R19L). It stops with the 7 dots across the screen, all dots gray (i.e., it hangs quickly after that screen appears). The fan starts running after a few seconds. Alt-f1 doesn't do anything.

The interesting thing is: MX 19.4 non-ahs will install. However, the Live session's display proportions are stretched or squeezed. Something wrong about the screensize detection, I guess. But, after install, everything is fine. 19.2 ahs installs fine on this laptop.

[EDIT: I verified the checksum. I also recall Fehlix mentioned "blab=MX-Live-usb". I added that, ctrl-x to boot. One gray dot turned yellow. After about 30 seconds, screen blanked displaying "p = off, r = reboot" in the top left corner.]

If I can provide more info, let me know. (Otherwise, I assume this is considered an ahs device and will wait till that rolls out.).

Instead of one way or the other can there be a choice between the xfce4-mxdock-plugin and good 'ol Windows Buttons.

Just like the choice between sudo / su. If to much work or headaches then could it be written up on how to change back to Windows Buttons.
It is easier to fight for one's principles then to live up to them.
