It's just in Firefox, not in Firefox ESR. I have a generic Logitech USB mouse, one of their cheaper models.

that's why I was eyeballing the gtk3-nocsd package.

That seems to be the cause. I purged it and restarted, now right-clicking on links in non-ESR FF behaves as expected. Probably Debian never noticed it because they ship with Firefox ESR and never tested it with the latest version of FF. I don't know whether this should be reported to Debian or to Mozilla though.

JayM it needed a restart to complete the csd reset, so if that was the first restart since the cs removal that did it. (?)

also to unmark the checkbox for csd in tweakOther
there is an "Apply" button. honestly, i missed that once, .. plus reboot.
requiring restart to change means that the nonpersistent live will be saddled with the choice in the tweakOther checkbox(?)

I went ahead and reported it in Firefox's Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1723431

edit: and also to Debian via their reportbug app. Bug #991795. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=991795

Regarding Docklike Taskbar, there's no simple or intuitive way to rearrange the order of docked apps. You have to manually edit them in ~/.config/xfce4/panel/docklike-#.rc. Could a GUI applet be made as a front-end for editing the order of pinned apps? That would be a lot easier for Linux newbies and those who aren't comfortable with editing configuration files.
