@SwampRabbit Yea, I got the feeling but made an act :p Now whether the "big dogs" as you mention would give some space to "small cats" is to be seen!

Regards to debian, release date drifted by just a month as per its history; now that's quite acceptable.

Debian Buster was released in July 2019, then MX-19 in October 2019. Just to give you an idea of how long you might be waiting. And as I recall, MX-19 was finalized sooner than I was expecting.

Thanks, I'll manually move my current install to a new HDD for the time being (no snapshot etc).

My personal conviction is that MX21 might release sooner than October 2021. Let's see if I get a surprise birthday present in September... ;)

What's the rush? 9_9
MX-19 is working fine and MX-21 won't be a revolution (at least I hope not) only an evolution.
I don't mind waiting until January if that guarantees stability and polish.

@SwampRabbit No, its a general question about the next release, in relation to the changes in Bullseye. The 32-bit libraries part asks if there is any information regarding the Bullseye release per the problem in Buster.

Again, MX-21 will be based on Bullseye, that’s all that’s getting out. Any other changes apart from Bullseye that are MX specific will be announced when we announce a Beta or whatever.

The 32-bit libraries issue, well you’d have to see if it affects Bullseye too. It’s a vague question, side jacking a unrelated thread. If you’d have to post what the specific issue is so that someone could compare against Bullseye. We’re not fixing 32-bit library issues in MX-21 that affect MX-19 that I am aware of, especially if it’s an upstream issue.

And while you're side jacking, please don't do that, and open your own post specifically related to your issue.

Seconded. I'll load MX21 on my playtoy laptops, but my workaday MX19 KDE install on my daily driver is doing everything I ask of it and doing it flawlessly. Why would I want to mess with that?

I agree. I like MX's stability. I got nervous about the ahs distro, that it might blur the stability focus. (I have a Ryzen 5/Vega 8 which benefited from ahs. I'd be running something else if no ahs. But, it only worked in 19.2. Then stopped working in .3 & .4. I "have to" (not that it's bad) install 19.2 ahs, then system update to get to 19.4. Not bad at all. But, that instability in ahs made me nervous about how bright the line is between ahs and non-ahs. I hope the non continues to be stable as a brick. I could do 19.2 ahs for a long time.

[EDIT: I replied to the wrong post. I changed the quote to the post I intended. Sorry.]

Now, I'm using AHS on my age old HP thin client potato box for some stuff I need that's not found in regular builds... running great for months so far.
