hello,
I am used to alt + tab bringing up something more useful. How can I change this behaviour ?
Not a fan of the KDE side panel. alt+tab. how change ?
Re: Not a fan of the KDE side panel. alt+tab. how change ?
Check out System Settings/Window Management/Task Switcher; i am partial to "cover switch"

Give it the side panel some time. Is it not an easier physical motion moving the mouse horizontally to a side panel, than vertically to a bottom panel?

or you try a different keystroke view? Shortcuts:
cntrl + F8 Desktop Grid
Cntrl + F10 Present all windows
(?)
alt + F2 KRunner. "If you have many windows open, just type in the title of the window and switch directly to it. You can either type in the name of the application or directly type in the name of the session. You can type in the name of a virtual desktop and switch directly to it. If you roll with activities, switch activities by typing their name in. KRunner will find a match as soon as you type three characters in." , KDE Wiki
(?)
Change You? or change alt+tab? made me smile.
